The System is made up of Building Blocks that can be created by a single company, subcontracted, or leveraged off development by many companies across many industries. The same Building Blocks are can create a wide variety of Use-Cases Configurations of the system to a lot of different customers. While it could be done by a single company, there are many advantages to having a consortium of companies, organizations and industry to develop and promote the System for different Use-Cases.  There is also no desire to re-invent the wheel and there are a lot of existing APPs, Devices, Information Services, Business Services, Devices, Personal Services, System Integrators for existing systems, Call Centers, etc. that could be easily adapted to the system through a set of common interfaces, methods, and standards.

 

On the Development Side, there are a lot of companies that have a technological focus and applications that can be incorporated as they are, or modified to fit into the system

• Existing Medical Devices and Systems

• Existing Security (and “Whole Home” control) Devices and Systems

• Existing Whole Home Control System

• Existing Commercial and End-user Devices

• Existing Apps and Internet Information Services

• Existing Telemedicine APPs

• Existing Personal Service Ratings, Procurement, and Payment Systems

• Existing Telecommunications and Networking Companies

• Existing Secure User Accounts with Application and  Data Cloud Technologies

• Existing Medical Advice Websites (with potential to create collaborative Cross-Doctor decision tree instructions for Nurses and MAs ask questions and collect data)

• Existing Trials and implementations of the features of the system at institutions

 

Most of the different components are building blocks that can be broken off and each have their own roadmap (with some dependencies) on core parts of the system, and there are a lot of companies that have a technological focus and applications that can be incorporated as they are, or modified to fit into the system (some examples):

• Main System

•  “Whole Home” Security and Control Companies could be used as a base for “at home” and public/private institutional monitoring

• Google, Microsoft, and Apple for secure accounts, relationships between accounts, analysis engines, and secure data and processing Clouds

• Existing RFID and/or QR Code ID companies for could be leveraged for part of the ID, Information, and Data Portions

• Workflow applications for logging, alerts, and process flow

• Existing Object Classes and Interfaces that perform a wide variety of functions and support abstract interfaces to leverage off of multiple application options

 

In-Home Systems

• WebMD for Medical Information (and possible the start of some cross correlation)

• Existing Primary and Backup Network and Infrastructure Capabilities (Satellites, WiFi, Cable, Cellular) from Cisco, Verizon, ViaSat, AT&T, Time Warner, Comcast, etc.

• Community mobile networks (metropolitan WiFi, WiFi Hot Spots, Cellular) Cisco, Tropos,  Belair, Verizon, Time Warner

• Existing Phone, Tablet, and PC devices and core functions

 

Information and Personal Services

• Yelp or Zagat for Service Ratings, Approved Providers, and possible ordering of services

• PayPal for billing and payments

• Generally available Phone, Tablet, and PC service applications… “There is an App for that”

 

Devices            

• Compliant Gateway Devices  to support existing Medical, Control, and Security HW/SW

 

Universities (one or more) are in a unique situation to be able to participate in a number of different areas.

• The system is very modular and many of the modular features consist of incremental roadmaps that can be implemented by one or more students for senior or masters projects

• The system development spans across multiple departments (language arts, computer engineering, computer science, and medical sciences)

• Universities have further opportunities to be the sponsor for the Innovation Center, Interoperability Lab, Product Support, Development of "Systems in a Box", Localization/Nationalization

• The system can be revenue and grant generating activities for the University, Departments, Professors, and Students
