There are many different ways that Universities can benefit from becoming involved with the Initiative to help define, build, and support the System. Universities are in a unique position to be able to contribute in many different areas that the individual industries, companies, and cultures involved or affected might not be able to do as well at. The benefits extend to the University, College, Department, Professor, and Student levels, providing valuable experience, contributions, recognition, and jobs.

 

  • Name Recognition and Prestige (often associated with donations, recruiting staff, and recruiting students)

  • Grants for Research and Development

  • Public/Private funding and collaboration for Research and Development

  • Potential Product/Patent Revenue

  • Provide real-life Senior, Masters, and Doctorate Projects (see tabs on Apps and System Features)

  • Provide additional on-campus jobs

  • Department and Cross Department Teaming (Medical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Process Improvement, Social Services, Mathematics, Language Arts)

  • Creation of onsite and online certification programs in Digital Medicine for Doctors, Nurses, Medical Assistants, Emergency Response, Disaster Response, Corporate/Public First Aid, and Retirement/Assisted Living staffs
