Nursing facilities are a step up from Assisted Living Facilities <Reamore about Assisted Living Facilities Use Case>, in terms of care, but they use most of the same System components and features. The devices do more, the staff has to be more responsive, scheduling is more critical, more care is given, verifications of treatments and services are more critical, and auditing is more important.  They are basically the same tools, just a more rigorous in-house process. Even if the residences do not live in an apartment or house in the Center, they still have most off the same basic Whole Health needs (now primarily supplied by the facility), plus the Nursing Services.

The System provides common “Look and Feel” interfaces on Standard PCs, Smartphones, and Tablets, with online training, help, and instructions, with the devices supporting remote maintenance and support.

  • Patients, their Guardians, and the Facility wants to make sure they receive the nursing services as scheduled, verified to be correct, logged, and any follow-up that might be required

  • Patients want to be able to select and schedule personal services in the facility, as well as to take care of their primary residence (if they have one)

  • Patients want to be able to have some of their testing, exams, and Doctor consultations (telemedicine)  done in the facility so that they do not have to travel to a Doctor or Clinic

  • Friends, Family, Guardians (and in some cases Social Advocacy Groups) want to make sure that the patients get the care and attention that they need (with verifiable event logs)

  • The facility wants to be able to provide additional add-on services, using lower cost labor, provide services and treatments on-time, with more efficiency and low probability of error

  • The facility wants to provide improved safety, environmental control, security, patient monitoring, and improve the high availability of their systems and facility,

  • The facility wants to continue to improve their process, and identify employees or processes that need to be changed or training updated

  • The facility wants to be able to add modular “Plug and Play” and configured “System-in-a-Box” options to support incremental improvements and expansion
