The System has many standard features to support Planning and Recovery in case of disasters or outages. It enhances current capabilities in a number of different ways from predefining and scheduling required tasks and actions by Role (within and outside of the National Disaster Recovery Framework's (NDRF's)),  managing local and remote resources, distribution and update of training/instructions/tasks to training exercises to individuals devices, shippable or storable Systems-in-a-Box configurations for a number of different missions, language services, personal service management and identification for individuals in the affected region, shared/leveraged facilities including Information dissemination, and many others.

 

The System would provide:

  • On-the-Fly Fixed and virtual Call Centers for general personal services, logistics, donations, as well as professional services like telemedicine, which can draw from resources around the world.

  • Training and tools to help recut, train, check and schedule tasks  for  existing trained individuals as well as new volunteers to work virtually anywhere primarily using their own PC, Tablet, and/or Smartphone

  • Common “Look and Feel” interfaces on Standard PCs, Smartphones, and Tablets, with online use and simulation training, help, and instructions, with the devices supporting remote maintenance and support

  • Localization for the Applications to be in the Person’s Native Language and Language Translation Services

  • Role Based Scheduling, Acknowledgement, Escalation, Follow-up, and Audit/Process Improvement, supporting the pre-loading of initial tasks based on the Standard Operations Plan, and manage tasks throughout the operation.

  • Applications to identify and assign tasks for individuals to check on “At Risk” individuals

  • Configured “System-in-a-Box” options to support Command Centers, Satellite Support Locations, Fixed and Mobile Service Points, Transportable Systems, and Specialty Emergency and Standard Support being setup from scratch, or expanded from partial deployment

  • Creational of Regional Guides/APPs for public  to download (and get updates) based on their location

  • Additional Security and Environmental control Applications and Devices

  • Ongoing modular “Plug and Play” options to support incremental improvements and expansion over time (better capability and Future Proof)

  • Local and Cloud Data and Processing that can be expanded and paid for as needed

  • Leverage (and team) with existing resources to provide benefits today and infrastructure for responding to a disaster or outage as needed

    • High Availability Message/ Information Boards located across regions

    • Mobile and Fixed Neighborhood and Major Clinics

    • Small inexpensive Emergency Medical Kits (with a lot of capabilities)

    • Nationwide Telemedicine Pools of Doctors and other Medical Professionals

    • Relationships, agreements, assignments, APPs, training, and supplies with  local volunteers, Advocacy Groups, and Service Centers

    • High Availability features and modular storage for shared facilities

 

Another potential item would be Search and Rescue Robotic Devices that can be equipped with audio, camera, light, video for two way visual communication, “tricorder”, network repeater, “RF or other location technology”, Telemedicine, and visual issue recognition tools

 

Note: Role Based scheduling is based on defining general roles, and then mapping shifts for those Roles to Individuals, These include the roles to perform the tasks as well as any escalations and follow-up, and it can automatically assign, reassign, and forward based on shift changes. . Sample roles could include, •Fed_Disaster_Recov_ Coord,  Local_Recovery_Mgr, Local_Recovery_Mgr_bck,  Local_Coord_Mgr, etc.

  • Interagency, Partnerships, and Individual Volunteer and Coordination APP

  • Any additionally desired High Availability Features (batteries, satellite network connection, etc.)

  • Classroom Training (on-line is part of base system)

  • Subscription Service for Telemedicine (if desired)
